Interview With Coco

Name: Coco Zurita.
Age: 26 years old.
Hometown: Santiago, Chile.
Currently living: California, Woodward west.

Shenanigans - What do you think is the biggest trend in bmx right now?
Coco - Well there is a few big trends but i think having a big 2 pc bars is one of the biggest.

S - You also have your bike setup very differently from everyone else in the Vert scene at the moment, low frame, Big bars, brake less etc, and in your latest video your not wearing any pads! Explain a little bit about your bike setup and do you wear pads when riding in comps?
C - i love the way my bike feels with big bars and tall front end. I personally don't use the seat at all, and i love how the low frame looks. just simple.
As for pads: i wear them whenever i am doing tricks i wont do very often, but for contest's i wear knee pads, and by the way i put my brake back on (at china x games, i did mini mega ramp that's why) but i keep it on, the contest season got here sooner that what i hoped, no time to try stuff, eventually i want to take my brakes off permanently but probably next off season.

S - What is your favourite place to ride? And where is the vert ramp located from your latest video?
C - My favorite place to ride is Hangar 18 at Woodward west. This camp is amazing man, you can find so many things to ride, it is insane i love it!

IT IS A BLESSING BEEN ABLE TO LIVE AT WOODWARD WEST ALL THE YEAR ROUND.

The video was filmed in San Diego, at the Tony Hawk ware house.

S - Favourite People to ride with?
C - Simon Tabron, Art Galaviz, Mark Webb, Dennis Ennarson, Jamie Bestwick.

S - You seem to be getting allot of attention lately as a Vert rider, Most people do not seem to know that your very talented at riding park as well!
C - The fact that i do not compete on park makes me enjoy it more, i love riding park.
But when it comes down to get it on, i normally use all my energy on Vert, since i am competing on it. It would be bad getting hurt riding park, and then cant be able to go to a Vert contest just cause of that.

S - As a pro you seem to travel quite alot, how does this affect your personal life?
C - Well wears you out some times, but that is it, my riding and traveling is all involved in my personal life. its like all in one. I am single too so i guess that helps me a lot.

S - Who are your sponsors or anyone looking after you right now?
C - Vans, Woodward West, Ogio, Xbalm, Skull Candy, Spin, 50/50 Bike shop and that is about it.

S - I think that will just about do it Coco, Thanks for taking the time out i know you have been very busy lately.
C - hey take care man, i hope il see you at camp this year! Also thanks heaps for giving me this buddy!
